1. VALID OPPOSING POSITIONS
- What makes each choice defensible?

- Why can reasonable people disagree?

2. COSTS ON ALL SIDES
- What is lost with each choice?
- Who gets hurt regardless?
- What principles are betrayed?

3. PERSONAL AND UNIVERSAL
- What does this mean for this character?
- What universal question does it raise?
- How do personal stakes complicate ethics?

4. AVOIDING FALSE EQUIVALENCE
- Are the choices truly balanced?
- Or is one worse but understandable?
- Where is the moral weight?

5. AFTERMATH DESIGN
- What consequences follow?
- Does the character doubt their choice?
- What does their choice reveal?

Write the dilemma scene from the characters perspective, showing the full weight of both options before and after the choice is made.
