Use pivot words that mean different things to what comes before and after.

Pivot word: A word that grammatically or semantically belongs to both the preceding and following phrases.

Example: "I saw the light / house keeper arrive" - "light" modifies backward and forward

Identify pivot opportunities:
- Words with multiple meanings
- Words that could be noun or verb
- Syntactically flexible words
- Words at enjambment points

Generate 5 pivot word moments:
- The pivot word
- How it reads with previous phrase
- How it reads with following phrase
- The productive ambiguity created

Draft lines using pivot words.

Annotate where the pivot creates meaning.
