Misdirection Design:

1. THE FALSE TRAIL
- What do we want the audience to believe?
- What evidence supports this false belief?
- Make it feel earned, not cheap.

2. PLANTING TRUTH
- Where is the real answer hidden in plain sight?
- What seems like throwaway but is actually crucial?
- How many plants are needed? (Usually 3)

3. AUDIENCE PSYCHOLOGY
- What genre expectations are you exploiting?
- What character assumptions?
- What plot pattern assumptions?

4. THE REVEAL MECHANICS
- How does truth emerge?
- What reframes everything we have seen?
- What remains consistent?

5. FAIRNESS CHECK
- On rewatch, is the truth visible?
- Did we play fair with the audience?
- Is it satisfying or frustrating?

6. KEY SCENES
- Write a misdirection scene
