- Why they commit

2. ESCALATION DECISIONS
- Choices that deepen involvement
- Points where retreat was possible
- Why they go further

3. CRISIS DECISION
- The impossible choice
- What is sacrificed either way
- Character revealed

4. CLIMACTIC DECISION
- Final choice in confrontation
- What has changed to enable this
- New self demonstrated

5. RESOLUTION DECISION
- Choices about the aftermath
- What they will carry forward
- Who they will be now

Map each decision with: the choice, alternatives rejected, stakes, and character revelation. Show how decisions create the character arc.
