Discovery Scene Design:

1. PRE-DISCOVERY STATE
- What is the character doing?
- What do they expect to find (if anything)?
- What is the emotional baseline?

2. THE DISCOVERY MOMENT
- How do they encounter it?
- First sensory impression?
- Moment of recognition?

3. IMMEDIATE REACTION
- Physical response
- Emotional response
- Verbal response (or significant silence)

4. PROCESSING
- What does it mean to them?
- What questions arise?
- What does it change about their understanding?

5. DECISION/ACTION
- What do they do with the discovery?
- Tell someone? Hide it? Investigate?
- What does this choice reveal?

6. THE SCENE
- Write the full discovery scene (2-3 pages)
- Build anticipation to the moment
