Craft the unreliable memory:

1. THE REMEMBERED VERSION
- What does the character believe happened?
- What details are enhanced or softened?
- What is completely fabricated?

2. CLUES TO UNRELIABILITY
- Inconsistencies within the memory
- Physical impossibilities
- Suspiciously perfect details
- Gaps and jumps

3. EMOTIONAL TRUTH
- What emotional reality is preserved?
- What pain is being avoided?
- What self-image is being protected?

4. TRIGGER AND FRAME
- What prompts the memory?
- How does present situation color the past?
- What does remembering serve now?

Write the memory scene as the character experiences it. Then annotate where the memory diverges from reality and why the character has rewritten it.
