**Emotional State**
Describe your current condition. Show, do not just tell, the trauma.

**Fragmented Account**
Tell what happened, but not in perfect order. Trauma disrupts memory.

**Sensory Details**
What do you remember most vividly? A sound? A smell? A face?

**Gaps in Memory**
"I do not remember..." What parts are blank? Why might that be?

**Mistaken Details**
Include at least one detail that is probably wrong due to shock or perspective.

**The Plea**
What do you want from the people listening? Help? Revenge? Answers? Safety?

**The Clue**
Include one important detail you mention but do not realize is significant.

**Limits**
What questions upset you too much to answer? When do you shut down?
